Things to know before we meet.
General Practice FAQs
-
Think of a PMHNP as a blend of high-level clinical expertise and a patient-first nursing philosophy. I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with specialized graduate-level training in mental health. I provide the same core services as a psychiatrist—including assessment, diagnosis, and medication management—but with a deep focus on supportive therapy and your overall well-being.

Telehealth allows us to meet in a space where you feel most secure. To join our virtual visit, you’ll just need:
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone.
A stable internet connection.
A quiet, private space with good lighting so we can communicate clearly.

If you are experiencing a crisis or there is a threat of harm, please call 911 immediately.
In the Texas Panhandle: Contact the Texas Panhandle Centers Crisis Line at (800) 692-4039.
In Kansas: Call or text the 988 Lifeline for 24/7 support.
Prescriptions & Refills
-
Request via the Portal: Please submit all refill requests through your Patient Portal on Simple Practice. Do not have your pharmacy send the request, as their systems often transmit incorrect information.
Plan Ahead: Please allow two business days for refills to be processed. I recommend requesting your refill when you still have 3 days of medication left.
Controlled Substances: Texas law requires medical supervision for controlled medications. This means we must have an appointment every 90 days to continue your prescription.
After Hours: Our office does not process refills after hours or on weekends.
ADHD Medications: These are highly regulated. Running out does not constitute a medical emergency, and early refills are not permitted. If medication is stolen, a filed police report is required for a replacement.
